We (a Low Carbon Diet Group in Warren, Vermont) also realized that the best thing that will likely come out of this, in addition to us each lessening our footprint, is that we are motivated to get questions answered and work with other people and community groups to solve problems. Two things we came up with we pledged to look into were:

1) Can we recycle the milk containers used at school (since we can't seem to justify getting a metal milk dispenser). If they can in fact be recycled, why are we not? (my assignment). 

2) Call Casella's and Earthwise and find out what exactly they recycle. Several seemed to thing that Earthwise tells people certain things can't be recycled, when Kirsten has been told by Casella's that they will take pretty much anything. Rumor has it they they even have a whole bunch of CLF's lined up on a shelf waiting for a mechanism to recycle them to come along!!
